Bayhound Bay is one of our newest members, but is already very dear to us. She made herself right at home in the ToBR family, and even with (currently) only one character we are in love with her Rping. And in the words of one MotM voter: "she's awesome and active and her character is really complex/detailed/realistic." Well done, Bay! We hope you will stay with us for many months to come! <33
Spike Zakour The second CotM winner who has slept with the Alpha of the Lupines! We would applaud you, Spike, if we weren't frothing jealously at Tulia, that lucky bitch ;) Spike is a sexy beast, make no mistake, with a depressing past and a long-lost assassin sister who he unknowingly is hunting down. He's certainly no pushover, but as we've discovered in recent threads, he can have a soft side, too!
Dinner and Duplicity In this Felyne thread we learn just how ruthless, manipulative, and two-faced the Felyne Elder Denali Edmonds is. Inviting her estranged (and downtrodden) daughter's best friend - whom Zelda Edmonds is in love with, unrequited - Kodian Rhys to dinner, Denali immediately begins to butter Kody up while shooting sidelong, veiled insults to her poor daughter. Kody remains oblivious and falls for Denali's charms, while we all read and laugh, but also cringe at the horrible unfairness of it all.
" 'Times are changing. We are a glorious nation that is being made new. Step out of the darkness of our past of shame and into the light of a new age. Allow me to lead you all as your Shaman to a future of hardship, but also of victory and perseverance. We will live on forever.' "
-Thor Bravesinger, [The Call]
A chilling sentiment masked in eloquent words; Thor is urging the Korposi (and succeeding in it) to violence and war. It becomes truly disturbing when you realize that Thor actually believes every word he says, that violence will help his people.

Plotting! Who doesn't love a good plot? Here you can make side-plots, mini-plots, character-plots, whatever sort of plot you'd like, as long as it doesn't conflict with the site-wide plot. Also a great way to find people to Rp with, make a thread in here requesting someone to thread with!
Character Logs Here you can keep track of all of your characters (helps us figure out who has who, too), post links to their bios, and post any extra info you've been just DYING to share about them.
One thread per member. These aren't required, but recommended if you have more than one character.
Danjan The capitol city of Vill'lykos, land of the Lupines, it is a sprawling city nestled in the mountains. The buildings are mostly made of iron and concrete, though some of the poorer areas have wooden buildings. The streets are safe and clean around Tulia's Keep, but get dirtier as you venture towards the edge of the city, where mostly Omegas and poor families live.
Oros A minor town on the fringe of Vill'lykos' borders, near the foothills. Its small wooden houses have a quaint, yet cozy feel about it, though dark rumors seem to surround it; rumors of people disappearing without a trace, of dark figures walking the streets at night...
Kethor A small village that is populated entirely by omegas and omega sympathizers. It is a humble town with a very small population of quiet, peaceful people. Mostly consisting of subsistence farmers, this village has managed to pass under the alpha's radar and is mostly left alone by the Lupine rule.
The Pine Forest A forest of tall, ancient evergreens stretching from the edge of the mountains over Vill'lykos' flat land that seem to reach the stars. In the midst of the forest is a gully occupied by a strange old hermit.
Foris-Capis The capitol city of the Felynes, hidden deep in a forest. All of the structures are in the trees themselves, each connected by wooden-planked rope bridges, and all are made of beautifully carved wood. The trees supporting them often have beautiful carvings on their trunks, done by generations of Felynes who lived in each home.
Sylvain Though it's not the capitol, Sylvain is the most popular city in Bera Kadiska. All of the structures in Sylvain are made of intricately carved wood and sit on the ground against the trees, which are often carved as well. A very cultural city that often holds celebrations and dances, it exists in the part of the forest that is rumored to be enchanted. On some nights small, glowing, green orbs will float through the village, vanishing when any attempt to touch them; this gives the city the "enchanted" rumor.
Maiyene An unusual Felyne city in that is is not suspended, but rather is built inside the trunks of the huge forest trees. Each tree, hollowed out, makes up to four families' homes, separated by height, with entrances of the ground, and then progressively higher, opening onto thick branches. The city, to the untrained eye, looks almost just like the rest of the forest (which is to keep it hidden).

The Grove A clearing in the Felynes' normally dark forest where the sun always shines during the day and flowers mysteriously bloom all year. A feeling of calm always surrounds the Grove, and it seems as if all violent thoughts are washed away when one enters.
Aerie The capitol city of the Avians, it is settled high up on the edge of a large, rocky plateau where the Avians live. A quite primitive city, most of the buildings are made of wood or are hidden in caves along the jagged stone. Connected to the city is the only way to get onto the plateau - a narrow, winding, worn-out ramp that snakes down the rocky sides of the plateau.
Scio The smallest, yet prettiest town in Rapere Niccea. It sits in the middle of a small lake on the plateau, and consists of huts built on the small isles that jut out of the water, huts suspended over the water on stilts. Every hut is connected by a bridge, as well the town itself has four bridges going each compass direction towards the lake shore.

The Rock Cliffs The steep, dangerous cliffs on the edges of the plateau that stretch for up to 700 feet tall. They make Rapere Niccea hard to reach - and thus attack - but the cliffs also isolate them from the rest of Brodjanari. The only way up besides a near-impossible climb up the cliffs is a winding path connected to Aerie.
The Flat Plains One large, oddly flat, stretch of tall grass plains that seem to touch the sky because of the cliffs suddenly dropping off on all sides. Full of beautiful flowers in spring, golden grasses in summer, brown dirt and mud in autumn, and snowy banks in winter. It gets very windy here, and occasional tornadoes are known to occur, so take care.
Stare The capitol city of Dunom-Kurs, it lies on rolling plains of short grass. The structures are mostly made of wood and thatched grass, and seem to blend into the landscape. There are nowhere near as many buildings as in the other nations' capitols, as the population is around that of any other nations' towns.
Prataria A hidden Korposi village in Dunom-Kurs that lives on the part of the prairie where tall, thick grass grows. The customs in this village are more warlike than the customs of the other Korposi, and because of that they are treated as outcasts by their own people.

Raoa Raoa is a town of artists: musicians, painters, singers, weavers, tailors, sculptors, everything creative you can imagine. Houses of wood and thatch are brightly decorated with dyes and flowers and fabrics, and it is not uncommon to hear songs being sung, whistled, hummed, or played in the unpaved streets. The denizens are very open and friendly to any who come by.
The Water Hole A small, clear lake where most of the Korposi get their drinking water. It is in the middle of their territory, near Stare, and its location is kept well guarded from any but their own. The water glistens with cleanliness, and even the plants that grow in the lake are deliciously edible.
The Nautilus The dessicated corpse of the largest Mareius ship to date now sits at the bottom of the ocean, half of it blasted away in an evil attack. The half of the ship that remains is quite burned, the sides of dark-stained wood, gilded with iron and silver designs, are fading and rotting in the ocean water . At her bow, the carved head of a fierce-looking dragon with an open mouth bristling with sharp teeth is blackened and burned, its beauty diminished by the uncaring erosion of the sea.
Eros Brother ship to Anteros, Eros is a Xebec-style ship with a length of 50ft. bow to stern. While he is a smaller vessel, he is very fast and maneuverable - the fastest of the Mareius ships. His hull is made of a pale, honey-stained wood and has elaborate carvings along the railings. While he is the perfect vessel for river or coastal sailing, he cannot venture into deep ocean like his brother. At his bow is a figurehead of a running otter.
Anteros Brother ship to Eros, Anteros is a Corvette ship, larger than his brother at 80ft from bow to stern. He is made of a darker wood than his brother, with pale carvings along his rails. The Anteros was meant for battle, rather than speed, and can withstand worse weather than his brother. At his bow, there is a figurehead of an otter reclining on its back.
Opre Valta [Open Ocean] The wide, largely unexplored ocean, called Opre Valta by the Marei. Their ships are a common sight out here, as are their animal forms swimming languidly through the water. About 150 miles out from the coast, billowing black clouds fill the sky and storms render the ocean unsailable. Called the "Strip of Death" by the Mareius, no one who ventures in ever comes out alive.
The Crossroads The roads that weave in between all the territories as trade-routes, or just ways to reach other cities. They are guarded by soldiers of all the races, and are very safe.
The Coast A sandy shore with many rocky cliffs and boulders bordering it, the coast surrounds the entire continent of Brodjanari. Some part of the coast touches each of the nations' territories, making trade with the Mareius easier as they don't have to leave the water for long.
The Red Marshes An inhospitable swamp that stretches for miles and miles. Given the name Red Marshes because an old battle that was fought there, causing the end of many lives. These marshes are said to be haunted by the ghosts of the dead.
Spring Hills A set of small hills that are always green, no matter the weather. This land has not been claimed yet because every explorer or settler that enters the hills never comes back. Whether it is because they died or because they didn't want to leave, no one knows. Rumors say that a magical creature lives hidden in the hills...
Fire Mountain A huge, dormant volcano (roughly the size of Mt. Everest) almost in the center of Brodjanari, with slopes of a deep, rust red. The color comes from the high concentration of iron ore in the mountain, which rusts in the rain. The nations often come here to mine the iron ore, as it is the strongest iron on the continent.
Iron River A river that runs from Fire Lake at the base of Fire Mountain, south to the ocean. The waters of this river are the same rust red as the volcano and the lake, tainted by the runoff from the mountain. Very toxic and undrinkable, Iron River contains no bugs, plants, or settlements, and its banks are eerily devoid of any life.
Beyond Never A place no sane creature dares to go. The dark gray fog billows so thick you can hardly see your own nose, and it fills your lungs until you feel like you're drowning. The wall of fog eerily stops in a precise line at the edge of Beyond Never, acting like no real fog should. It is a dark, cursed land where evil creatures and lost souls are said to dwell. Out of those who go in, the rare ones that come out no longer have their sanity, and usually die within months of their return. Those who do not come back are presumed dead, or worse.
All characters who enter Beyond Never will return crazy or will die until further notice.

The breeze through the grasses and the hum of bees in the air all seem to be saying: "Summer is here!" Summer this year is getting hot, and rain is coming sparsely - everyone is fearing a drought and is desperately trying to keep their crops alive. The summer sun is warm and friendly most days, but some days it turns burning hot, raising temperatures into the 100-degree range and hardly cooling at all at night. Pray for luck and mercy, for if this year's crops all die, there is no telling if anyone will survive the winter...
The peoples of Brodjanari have many different celebrations and events. Check back here often to see if any are coming up in your nation!
